If you’re wondering whether the Alignment Reset is right for you, you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions below — from what the process involves to how it differs from therapy or traditional coaching.
Before You Begin…
What is the Alignment Reset?
The Alignment Reset is a four-week programme to help you slow down and develop a clearer understanding of what’s really going on in your life. Together we explore what’s draining your energy, what’s holding you back, and where yout day-to-day life has drifted away from what really matters to you.
Who is it for?
It’s for people who feel stuck, disconnected or as though something in life isn’t quite working, even if they can’t put their finger on exactly what it is.
Who is it not for?
The Alignment Reset is not suitable for people experiencing a mental health crisis. It is a coaching programme designed to help people who feel stuck, disconnected or uncertain about their direction. It is not a substitute for mental health assessment, treatment or crisis support. If you need urgent mental health support, please contact your GP, NHS 111, or your local emergency services if you are in immediate danger.
What do you mean by “alignment”?
Alignment is when your choices, priorities and actions reflect what matters most to you, allowing the different areas of your life to work together rather than pull you in different directions.
About the Process
What happens during an Alignment Reset?
The programme follows four stages: Awareness, Clarity, Realignment and Sustainable Change, with each stage building on the last.
The first stage, Awareness, begins with a life audit designed to help you identify areas of misalignment, recurring patterns and sources of energy drain.
The Clarity stage helps you reconnect with what matters most to you by exploring your values, priorities and the commitments or habits that may no longer be aligned with the direction you want to move in.
In Realignment, you begin turning insight into action by establishing healthier boundaries, making intentional choices and creating a path that is more consistent with your values.
The final stage, Sustainable Change, focuses on creating your personal Alignment Blueprint — a practical framework to help you maintain the changes you have identified and continue moving towards a life that feels more intentional and fulfilling.
Will I be expected to share personal details?
No. You are always in control of what you choose to share. The Alignment Reset is a personal process designed to help you reflect, gain clarity and identify what matters most to you. You can complete the exercises privately, and any work you create during the programme remains yours.
If you choose to take part in one-to-one coaching, you can share as much or as little about yourself as feels comfortable. We will focus on what is helpful and relevant to your goals and the progress you want to make.
Do I receive advice or solutions?
The Alignment Reset is not about being given answers or someone else telling you what to do. Instead, it is a guided discovery programme designed to help you reflect on your life, increase your self-awareness and identify areas where you may be feeling stuck or out of alignment.
Through this process of reflection and exploration, you can develop greater clarity about what matters most to you and begin making choices that move you towards greater alignment.
How is this different from counselling or therapy?
Counselling and therapy and the Alignment Reset have different purposes. Counselling and therapy can help people explore emotional difficulties, mental health concerns or challenging life experiences. The Alignment Reset is a coaching framework that helps people step back, reflect on different areas of their lives and identify where they may be out of alignment. Its aim is to increase awareness, clarity and intentional action rather than provide mental health treatment.
How is it different from life coaching?
Life coaching often begins with a specific goal or outcome that you want to achieve. The Alignment Reset is designed for people who may not yet have that clarity. Instead of starting with solutions or goal setting, it begins by helping you understand where you are now, identify areas of misalignment and reconnect with what matters most to you.
Using a structured four-stage framework of Awareness, Clarity, Realignment and Sustainable Change, the programme helps you develop the insight and direction needed to make intentional, lasting changes. Rather than focusing solely on achieving goals, the Alignment Reset focuses on creating a life that is more aligned with your values, priorities and sense of purpose
About the Meetups
What happens at an Alignment Network meetup?
The Alignment Network meetup is an opportunity to pause, reflect and have meaningful conversations about what alignment means in our lives and how we can move towards a greater sense of alignment.
Everyone brings their own unique experiences, perspectives and values. Through open discussion and reflection, participants can explore what alignment looks like for them, the choices that support it, and the actions that help them move in a direction that feels more intentional and meaningful.
Do I have to speak?
The Alignment Network meetups are a welcoming space where everyone can take part in a way that feels comfortable for them. You are encouraged to share your thoughts and experiences, but there is no obligation to speak or share anything that you would prefer to keep private.
Whether you choose to contribute to the conversation, listen and reflect, or simply take time to consider your own thoughts, you are welcome.
Is it confidential?
The Alignment Network is built on respect, trust and creating a safe space for meaningful conversations. Participants are encouraged to be mindful of each other’s privacy and not share personal stories or information discussed during the meetup outside of the group.
As the meetup is a group setting, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed in the same way it would be in a private coaching session. However, we ask everyone who attends to approach conversations with care, respect and discretion.
Can I come on my own?
Absolutely. You are welcome to attend an Alignment Network meetup on your own or bring a friend with you. Many people attend independently, and the meetups are designed to be a welcoming space where everyone has the opportunity to connect and take part at their own pace.
Anyone aged 18 or over is welcome to attend.
How many people usually attend?
Alignment Network meetups are intentionally kept small, with up to 10 participants. This creates a relaxed and welcoming environment where everyone has the opportunity to take part in meaningful conversations, while still allowing space for those who prefer to listen and reflect.
Where are the Alignment Network meetups held?
The Alignment Network currently hosts in-person meetups in Ipswich, Suffolk. Details of each meetup, including the venue, are provided when you register.
As the network grows, we may introduce additional formats to make the conversations accessible to more people.
